Wine Description
The Hogue Cellars has developed a style of Late Harvest Riesling that is crisp yet moderately sweet.
The 2014 vintage opens with aromas of ripe apricot and peach preserves, as well as hints of green tea, orange zest, and orange blossom. Classic Riesling flavors of apricot nectar, violet, tangerine, honeysuckle, and orange blossom are well balanced by a refreshing acidity. Pair with an appetizer plate of blue cheese, chevre, and smoked gouda, or serve for dessert with poached pears, baked apples, or almonds and hazelnuts.
