Our Domaine (Vincent and Catherine Ogereau)
Domaine Ogereau is in the Loire Valley – in the heart of the Coteaux du Layon, a tributary of the Loire. All of our vineyards (20 hectares in total) are appellation contrôlée.
Our family domaine was established in the 1890s by my great-grandfather. Since taking over the running of the domaine in 1989, we haven’t stopped striving to improve the quality of our wines.
We are now among the most highly reputed producers in Anjou. Our wines have been praised by wine writers both in France and internationally with recommendations throughout our range – from the simplest to our super-premium.
We have three particularly fine vineyards :
The Côte de la Houssaye for Anjou-Villages (Cabernet Sauvignon)
The Clos le Grand Beaupréau for Savennières
The Clos des Bonnes Blanches for Coteaux du Lyon St. Lambert.
Catherine and I are united by two passions – wine and music. Both demand commitment and work but both also give immense pleasure.
