J.J. Corry The Hanson is a blended grain Irish whiskey from The Chapel Gate Irish Whiskey Company, founded by Louise McGuane in 2015 in Cooraclare, County Clare, Ireland. Reviving the traditional art of Irish whiskey bonding, J.J. Corry sources spirit from various Irish distilleries, aging and blending it in their bonded rackhouse. The Hanson, named after John Andrew “The Gauger” Hanson, a revenue man and exciseman in early 1900s County Clare (and J.J. Corry’s son-in-law), reflects the matchmaking of Ireland’s finest grain whiskeys.
