In this limited-time offering, Buzzard’s Roost Toasted French Oak Bourbon begins its journey initially aged in charred new American oak barrels. It is then re-barreled into their unique proprietary, new heavily toasted French Oak barrels, without the char process. The result is a 105-proof bourbon with a crafted mash bill of 60% Corn, 36% Rye, and 4% Malted Barley. Warm and inviting, the nose of Toasted French Oak Bourbon greets you with aromas of warm toffee, dark cherries, cinnamon sugar, and light, sweet oak. On the palate, it reveals a delightful spiced caramel apple flavor, enhanced by notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and a dash of cardamom. The finish is long and warm, with baking spices leading the way before gradually giving way to nutty and oak undertones.
