It all started in 1928 with André and Alice Nicol, farmers
in Surzur who produced 100% pure juice artisanal Breton cider,
as well as apple juice while respecting the tradition
and know-how of cider.
In 1960, the second generation arrived with the succession of their nephew Jean NICOL who decided to modernize the cider house by offering
unpasteurized Brut, Fruity and Sweet artisanal Breton cider,
without preservatives and 100% pure juice.
In 1976, with a concern for quality and development, Jean NICOL
planted orchards by selecting local apple varieties for the composition of his cider.
Today, Didier and Jean-Michel (son of Jean) brew around
1,100 tonnes of apples during the fall. The family business, located at the gateway to the Rhuys Peninsula and the Gulf of Morbihan for three generations, also produces the prestige cider “Royal Guillevic” stamped “Label rouge”.
