Against The Grain Hot for Peacher

The smoke character is prominent in this house smoked light ale. We started with a simple light malt bill that wouldn’t get in the way of the other flavors going on here. We then smoked 150 lbs. of malt in our custom smoker with peachwood. The smoke flavor in this has a sweetness similar to the applewood in Goin’ H.A.M. but with more distinctly “peachy” flavors, which we play up substantially with a large addition of pureed peaches. The dry finish almost repliates the flavor of the fuzzy peach skin while the sweeter smoke provides a grilled peach sensation. Look for the smoke to fade and the peach to increase as you advance through the glass.
