Dutchess Kerwa

Kerwa Kellerpils, Dutchess Ales’ Festbier is a tribute to the Franconian-style Pilsner that was traditionally made for the local festival season, a tradition that predates and informs what is now ‘Octoberfest’. Kerwa undergoes a patient lagering process by which the beer develops complexity and naturally clarifies – the kellerbier tradition that adds to a more generous and nuanced body than a typical German pilsner. Generously hopped with layers of noble Hallertau Mittelfrüh and Tettnanger hops, Kerwa shows distinct botanical spice and woodsy freshness with zesty citrus peel and honeysuckle notes.
