SAKISKES Lietuviškas Pilsneris

This beer is a full-bodied bottom-fermented pilsner. We have used the traditional and unique roast beer technology, where a mixture of malt and water (mash) is roasted in a kiln to caramelise it. In this way, we roasted about a tenth of the malt used in the beer in a wood oven.
In addition to the roasting technique, we have also applied the traditional method of decoction malting, in which part of the mash used in the brewing process is boiled for some time.
These brewing methods have helped us to create an expressive pilsner that encodes not only Lithuanian malt, but also the traditional authentic Lithuanian malting method. Aromatic European hops help to balance the sweetness of this beer and give it a floral aroma.
