Beer Description
The Thrower was brewed to honor the Chicago Bears’ first African American quarterback, as well as the first African American quarterback to play in the Big Ten (Michigan State) and the NFL, Willie “Mitts” Thrower. We brewed this Scottish style ale with our good friend Jay Westbrook, the Black Beer Baron, not only to celebrate Thrower but to celebrate a style of beer we think captures what football season is all about. Malty, full of caramel notes, a hint of chocolate, with a balanced hop finish.
