Cellarmaker + Pinthouse + Highland Park + Green Cheek + Cloudburst + Alvarado Street Double Cone

In this latest edition of Brew Your Friends Beer™, we brewed one of the most iconic West Coast Imperial IPAs out there: Alvarado Street Brewery’s legendary DOUBLE CONE.

ASB has been dialing in Double Cone since 2014, and it’s become one of the most decorated Imperial IPAs around. A few highlights: Silver at the 2023 World Beer Cup, Silver at the 2020 GABF, Gold at the 2019 GABF, and 1st Place at the Yakima Chief Alpha King Challenge that same year. Basically, this beer has more hardware than most breweries do in a decade.

So what’s the deal with it? DOUBLE CONE is a fully saturated, resin-soaked, West Coast hop bomb with one of the most intricate hop bills we’ve ever employed. Built around Simcoe, Mosaic, and Krush (in T90, Cryo, and Dynaboost form), our freshest lot of 2025 Harvest Nelson Sauvin, Columbus Cryo, and a little wizardry. This beer is layered, electric, and just double dank.
