Armistice Meat Parade

Ah the patriotic summer holidays: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day. Wrinkled hot dogs. Icebox cakes with strange, secret ingredients. Sunscreened lip sweat. Jousting with roman candles on your cousin’s dirt bike. But in these polarizing times, these holidays can be vexed. These days America means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Maybe you’re not into military parades and goose-stepping. Maybe you just want to enjoy your damn overcooked hamburger and fireworks without baggage both recent and historical. Well one thing they’ll never be able to take from us is the BBQ. Our neighbor Andre has the rig out and he’s smoking everything that’s not on the endangered species list, including rattlesnake, gator, and bear. If you can’t enjoy the deep history and if you’re hung up on the recent history, you can at least enjoy the meat parade, and if you’re vegan, you can at least enjoy a vegan beer named Meat Parade that’s juicier than a ribeye, with Citra, Motueka, El Dorado and Wakatu hops.
