Beer Description
A blend of German-grown Perle, Tettnang and whole leaf Mittelfrüh. At 4.8% this beer is the malt-forward, easy-drinking lager of our mid-winter dreams and we’re grateful to Buttonwoods for their help bringing it to life.
Made with our old friend Morgan at Buttonwoods Brewery. Rotbier (“red beer”) has deep and ancient roots in the city of Nuremberg but it’s only thanks to a late 20th century revival that the style can be found there today. As the appearance suggests, Rotbier shares some qualities with similar lagers in the region: Amber Kellerbier, Polotmavý, even Vienna Lager. Ours has a well-placed but complex malt presence that’s balanced by a blend of German-grown Perle, Tettnang and whole leaf Mittelfrüh. At 4.8% this beer is the malt-forward, easy-drinking lager of our mid-winter dreams and we’re grateful to Buttonwoods for their help bringing it to life.
