Beer Description
A top-fermented, flavorful light 4.8% ABV beer. The origins of this style go back to the 1830s when monks brewed a table beer for their own consumption. It was enjoyed with dinner and not available to the general public. Now, almost 200 years, later Brouwerij de Glazen Toren has added this refreshing style to its repertoire. Extra is hopped with the noble variety of Saaz from the city Zatec (Czech Republic) where hop fields are on the UNESCO world heritage list. Extra is an ideal alternative to pilsner beers.
