Forest and Main Floating Fields

Floating Fields – 4% Saison brewed with rice. We loved Feathered Fields, our rice lager so much, we wanted to try a similarly rice heavy malt bill in a saison. We performed a special decoction mash schedule with some heirloom Indian rices and some Pilsner malt from @DeerCreekMalt, hopped it with lots of Saaz and Grungeist, and fermented it with our new 2024 Foraged Yeast Culture. The beer pours the most ethereal pale straw color, it looks like a freaking ghost ale, with a starched white head, and lots of tiny bubbles. It has notes of gentle pear bubble gum, super floral herb garden vibes, some lemon verbena, fluffy white rice boiling, cracked coriander, and a wildly dry finish that makes you forget you just took a sip of beer; ultimate crusher – we’re having so much fun making rice beers!
