Beer Description
This is a big West Coast Imperial IPA for hop lovers. Huge tropical notes dominate the nose and flavors of citrus, pine, and passion fruit mingle on the tongue with a touch of caramel malt. The relatively dry finish makes the beer crisp on the tongue and the high bitterness rather refreshing. A little sugar is added to this to drive up the starting gravity and allow for the dry finish in such a big beer. Citra and Simcoe are used heavily, late in the boil. Then the beer is dry hopped twice with 4 different hops at about double the hops rate of our IPA.
