Beer Description
Belgian Quad aged in Four Roses Bourbon We brewed this tribute to Belgian-style Christmas ales, big strong beers that (mostly) hide their intensity behind a blanket of soothing malt sweetness, back in the fall of 2020, with the idea that it would come out around the time when the pandemic ended. Having laid in rest in Four Roses Bourbon barrels, the result is more than the sum of its parts. An already intensely malty beer amplified to pure malt expression, backed up by spirit esters, charred oak, and a spiced rye component that plays gently with the Belgian-style clove aromatics. Smooth and soft, with gentle carbonation and a creamed Werthers finish. Consider it a new reason to be cheerful, as the tide finally seems to be turning.
