Beer Description
Brave Old World is a new series of historic styles brought back to life in modern New Zealand. The first beer in this series is an English Imperial Stout inspired by the original style brewed in London. These extra-strength stouts were originally brewed for export, and the elevated alcohol content not only catered to export market tastes, but helped extend the shelf life of these well-travelled ales.
Brewed with English malts and hops, and fermented using an English Ale yeast, this beer has subtle fruity esters, complimenting the slightly sweet finish and warming alcohols. Roasted barley and crystal malts provide chocolate and raisiny flavours. This beer is perfectly suited to cellaring or can be enjoyed fresh!
