Beer Description
We get notes of wheat bread, lemon peel, dandelions, hay, lemon verbena, cracked black pepper, clementine, and summertime herb garden.
Diggins is our take on a Grisette – a light, crisp, refreshing, farmhouse-style wheat beer that originated in the Hainaut region of Belgium in the 18th century.
Diggins was brewed with NJ grown @rabbit_hill_malthouse floor malted pilsner and red wheat malts and hopped with Zuper Saazer and Lemondrop. We also added some lemon peel to the whirlpool to complement the citrusy, floral, and herbal hop blend.
Diggins was fermented super dry with a special, locally sourced blend of yeasts that provide a delicate fruity tartness and a bright, citrusy ester profile with subdued back-note phenolics.
