Source Summer Saison

The official first day of summer is right around the corner and we are celebrating with the release of Summer Saison, our super-refreshing, seasonal, farmhouse ale! ?

Summer Saison was brewed with all locally grown and malted NJ grains including @rabbit_hill_malthouse floor malted pilsner, red wheat, and oats

This delicate farmhouse ale was hopped lightly in the kettle with Czech Saaz and NZ Nelson Sauvin which lend a pleasant kiss of balancing hop bitterness, as well as floral, herbal, fruity, and bright, citrusy aromas and flavors.

Summer Saison was fermented dry with a locally sourced blend of farmhouse ale yeast strains that together contribute a subtle tartness as well as a host of wonderful, complimentary fruity esters and gentle undertones of spicy Belgian phenols.

This seasonal refresher pours a hazy, straw-yellow color into a glass and quickly forms a beautiful crown of dense, white, long-lasting, aromatic foam.

You can expect a light body, subtle tartness, a complex array of classic saison aromas/ flavors, and a crispy, effervescent finish that makes for quite an enjoyable beer drinking experience.

We get notes of bright lemon, honeysuckles, Anjou pear, summertime breeze blowing through a fresh herb garden, peppery spice, bubblegum, gooseberry, soft honeydew melon, and forest dew.
