Aurora Interpreting Delicious

A couple of years ago, we had a Big Sprang from @trilliumbrewing. It was an inspiring, delicious brew. As brewers, you always want to pave your own road, but a big part of this Industry, whether you’re a home or pro brewer, is how other beers influence what you do. Big Sprang is specified as a “kolsch inspired ale” by trillium. After failing over and over and being bummed out, we took some time, and then a little light bulb went off, and we tried again. Pilsner malts and a little rye, a big dose of noble hops in the whirlpool, and cool, slow fermentation, outside of this specific yeasts recommended range, and a healthy dry hop of fresh Nelson Sauvin. We finally nailed a great beer.
