Defiant Roots is where soft caramel, cherry, and raisin notes mix, mingle, and mutate (like the many musical genres in the Bloodshot wheelhouse) with the flavors of charred oak and whiskey barrel spiciness.
When Chicago indie label Bloodshot Records concocted a Blue Corn Bourbon with our neighbors at FEW Spirits, we couldn’t help but steal those barrels, roll them down the street, and brew a delicious Belgian Style Dubbel to fill them. Defiant Roots is where soft caramel, cherry, and raisin notes mix, mingle, and mutate (like the many musical genres in the Bloodshot wheelhouse) with the flavors of charred oak and whiskey barrel spiciness.
