Beer Description
Brewed in collaboration with our good friends from Maine @bunkerbrewing. This crispy dark lager is inspired by Bunker’s year round pilsner, Machine. We took their classic Czech pils recipe and painted it black. Pours deep black in color, but with a deep ruby hue when held up to the bright light of day. Aromas of malt chocolate and coffee balanced with subtle spicy & floral noble hop character. Light bodied and crisp on the palette with slight malty sweetness, assertive hop bitterness and just a hint of roast bite on the finish. Primarily Pilsner malt with a touch of both Vienna and Munich and just enough roast malt to make it black. Fermented with our house German lager strain. Hopped with German Saphir variety.
