Beer Description
A Norwegian-toberfest style ale that’s similar in flavor and appearance to a traditional Marzen lager. It has a clear golden color and a wonderful flavor that’s malty and caramelly, with a noticeable hop bitterness in the background.
Our Sandbox Series #15 beer is called Harvest. Its a Norwegian-toberfest style ale that’s similar in flavor and appearance to a traditional Marzen lager at Oktoberfest. It has a clear golden color and a wonderful flavor that’s malty and caramelly, with a noticeable hop bitterness in the background to keep it from being overly sweet. Harvest is unique in that it was brewed with a ‘Hornindal’ Kveik (Kuh-veye-K) strain of yeast originally coming from heirloom farmhouse strains once isolated in the fjords of Norway centuries ago. Its a tasty, easy-drinking beer for the Harvest season. Malt: German Pilsner, Munich, Dark Munich, Melanoidin and Caramel Aromatic. Hops: Apollo and Sterling. Yeast: Hornindal Kveik, finished with American Ale.
