Beer Description
We proudly introduce this special release on our sixth anniversary. Civil Life Dortmunder-Style Lager is brewed just like in 19th Century Dortmund, a city in the coal-mining and industrial heart of Germany. Beer expert Horst Dornbusch wrote, “With a substantial flavor and mouthfeel, the Dortmund export is a solid beer for a solid breed of people.” It has a stronger malt flavour and slightly deeper colour than Pilsener, with a delicious juicy hop balance. The Ruhr District of Germany features extremely hard, mineral-rich water lending their beer extra earthy bitterness and refreshingly dry finish. Whether you’re working hard or hardly working, you’ll love this classic working-class beer.
