Beer Description
Imperial Baltic porter with cardamom. Brewed with Dugges Bryggeri.
Brewed in collaboration with our friends @duggesbryggeri when they were in NYC on their last US tour. We took their visit as an opportunity to brew a classic style with a bit of a twist. Cardamom is a real Swedish west coast bun-pastry spice, most common in wheat buns and rolls where the cardamom goes in both the dough and filling. Citrusy, minty, spicy, and herbal all at the same time the cardamom addition balances perfectly with the viscosity and malty sweetness of the base beer. Fermented cold on lager yeast.
