Beer Description
Dark, malty, chocolatey, with hints of raisin and plum. We use our hybrid Kolsch ale strain, ferment cool, and lager the beer to add a clean smoothness. Malts: Pilsner, Munich, Amber, C-60, Pale Chocolate, Blackprinz, and Extra Special.
Existing for much of the last century behind the Iron Curtain, Baltic Porter only made its way to America at the end of the Cold War. Since we live on the Salish Sea and not the Baltic, we’ve made some changes and brewed our own local Northwest version. Dark, malty, chocolatey, with hints of raisin and plum. We use our hybrid Kolsch ale strain, ferment cool, and lager the beer to add a clean smoothness. Malts: Pilsner, Munich, Amber, C-60, Pale Chocolate, Blackprinz, and Extra Special. Hops: Apollo and Cascade.
