Beer Description
Brewery Techne is the in-house brewery at Fairmount’s Bar Hygge (“HUE-gah”), named for a Danish concept that roughly translates into making life special via care and attention to the everyday. Led by Tom Baker and Peggy Zwerver of Mt. Airy’s Earth – Bread + Brewery (Tom also masterminded NJ’s Heavyweight Brewing Co. – RIP!), they looked even farther afield for this twist on Finland’s traditional Sahti-style beer. It’s inflected with juniper, rye and caraway for a distinctively Baltic flavor.
