Beer Description

It is comparable in strength to the beer produced by Tudor brewers during the reign of Elizabeth I.

Originally brewed to mark the Queen’s Coronation in 1953, this golden barley wine proved so popular that it has been brewed ever since. It has won many prizes and, at the International Brewers’ Exhibition 1968, was awarded the Championship Gold Medal. Regular drinkers simply asked for a ‘œLizzie’.
