Beer Description
We brew this Coffee Stout with Highland Coffee’s Southern Pecan roast. We make a cold toddy, which we then blend into the finished beer.
This process reduces the roasty astringency that can sometimes come through in hot brewed coffee.
The beer itself pours black as night, with a beautiful caramel-brown head. The aroma is earthy, with plenty of pecan nuttiness, and a touch of chocolate. The flavor shows a ton of chocolate, with pecan nuttiness and a slight coffee roast character.
Greg Hofer, founder of Highland Coffee Co., called Uncle Disheveled by his nephew. We couldn’t imagine a better name for this beer.
