Beer Description
A truly classic style. Four pounds of local South Jersey honey added per barrel. English yeast an East Kent Goldings hops.
A truly classic style, the English Special Bitter is all about balance. Four different specialty grains, including traditionally floor-malted Maris Otter, a hefty dose of Biscuit and Honey Malts, and Caramunich Malt lay the foundation of this refreshing brew, leading to a medium-bodied and highly quaffable ale. A traditional English ale strain is used, lending a dry fruity note to the finish, with East Kent Golding hops bringing us home. Like all great English ales, the carbonation is on the lower end of the spectrum allowing the complex grain bill and mild hop character to shine through without being masked. Biscuits and Honey is an easy-drinking 5.5% ABV, with a beautifully copper-colored shine and a complex variety of flavors.
