Unorthodox and intricate, Grande Dame is the result of the marriage between mature barrel aged Oud Bruin and fermented apricots from the Valis region of Switzerland. Oud Bruin originates from the Flanders region of Belgium and is traditionally aged in barrels to allow agents of fermentation to add complexity and venerable qualities to this typically sour beer. Elegant and rustic, and full of complex flavors, berries, spice, and a hint of nuttiness, this is a great beer to share with friends on a special occasion.
